You may or may not have heard of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. Even if you haven’t, you most certainly will recognize the name of the man who started the organization.

Sixty-six years ago, Grover Cobb – father of Randy Cobb, First Bank Vice President in Lyons – founded the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. In 1976, a year after Cobb’s death, a memorial was built beneath one of the two earliest radio towers in the United States in his honor.

This week, after the 2017 Kansas Association of Broadcasters Convention ended, family, friends, and colleagues of Grover Cobb gathered on the Kansas State University campus to rededicate the redesigned memorial in Cobb’s name.
